Autumn honeymoon session for Emiko & Rui

Image

It was a beautiful and warm sunny autumn day when Emiko and Rui came from Tokyo to Paris to have their post wedding photo session. They are such a lovely couple and it was a real pleasure for me to help them to get great memories here. I was surprised that Rui could speak French until he told me that he grew up here. It was also the reason why they both exactly knew where they wanted to have their photos taken!

A bride in Paris

Image

It was a really hot summer day in Paris, even for this couple coming from Hong Kong for their pre-wedding photos session! So we kept sunset and night for a cooler temperature and also for a more romantic atmosphere!

It was a beautiful winter day when Tammie and Roy came from Hong Kong to have their engagement photos in Paris. I was so happy to have someone to talk to me in Cantonese! Thank you for a well deserved hot chocolate at Trocadero! πŸ™‚pre wedding, engagement, honeymoon photography

Engagement photography session in collaboration with Yolanda Villagran Photography

It was a very good experience for me to work with another amazing photographer ‘Yolanda’. (Photo shoot by Kayan | Photo edit by Yolanda)

Usually I always prepare everything before I press the shutter button, like posing and using the flash to keep the right exposure on the background and on the couple, this could allow me to edit the photos a bit ‘dramatic’ and with ‘painting’ effect.

But now I found that I’m also interested on this kind of ‘Photo-journalistic’ style. It shows the sweetness and natural moments of the couple. I’ve only used the natural light to shoot along the way, it’s completely different from my usual work. After Yolanda retouched them, this vintage color brings even more romantic atmosphere in the pictures, especially with the Parisian background!
